Il tentativo di aprire vie foriere di un nuovo senso di Umanesimo conduce alla riconsiderazione del desiderio, quale luogo di ripensamento dell’uomo nella sua integralità. Attempting to open harbingers streets of a new sense of Humanism leads to reconsideration of desire, as a place of re-thinking humanity’s in its entirety. The desire, even in its ambivalent aspect, as a passive term forced to an inalienable aspiration of knowledge and as motive of the action that can obtain the true and the good, is characterized as a movement towards perfection, mark itself of finiteness’s condition. The covered topics, intercultural dialogue, the theme of the desire-maker, the problem of recognizing, the dialectic of desire in the relationship between art and society, the mystical point of view and the humanism of «gaze and attention», propose the desire as the engine of human action that finds fulfillment in something other than itself.
